OH YEA, HERE COMES A RIDDLE!!!!!!

ABCD is a square. at every corner of this square, there are 4 houses and 1 person in each house.

A takes 80mins to go to B
B takes 80mins to go to C
C takes 80mins to go to D
But D takes 1hr 20mins to go to A

Assuming they take the shortest route possible, started at the same time and travel at the same speed and nothing blocked their way and no aliens kidnapped anyone to go to space and no one fell down and no one is paralysed and no one got distracted by butterflies (in the garden or maybe in their stomach) and no one rested and no one is out of breath and no one dies of hunger and no one travels on anything else other than normal simple concrete pavement and all the roads are identical and no cars run them down and no one swims there or cycle but everyone walks and no thunder striked them and there are no treadmills and no teleporting machines and no one ate special medicines to boost themselves and no one has different air resistance and so on and so for, why does D take 1hr 20min? (but not 80min?)

Ask me for the ans if you cant solve it and tag me if you can!!
